HOW DO YOU SHIP FRESH CALIFORNIA SPIRULINA?
We ship our product in insulated shipping containers with ice gel packs to ensure freshness. Just make sure that you put california spirulina into the fridge the day of delivery.
HOW DOES YOUR SUBSCRIPTION WORK?
We offer automatic deliveries every 2 or 4 weeks of the 100 grams jars. You can cancel your subscription at any time after a minimum of two shipments. Shipments go out once weekly, same day of harvest.
HOW DO YOU GROW CALIFORNIA SPIRULINA?
We cultivate California Spirulina in our expandable 100,000 square foot industrial lab facility, beachfront in Baja at Sea Of Cortez. Our enclosed fresh water raceway tanks provide the perfect growing conditions of the micro algae. 365 days of pure and clean sunshine, perfect weather. We provide organic nutrients all fresh & natural. We don't have any animal farms or agriculture with contaminants on a 100 mile radius. There is no processing involved and we don't add anything to our product.
MY SPIRULINA HAS A WEIRD SMELL. IS THAT NORMAL?
California Spirulina is still alive, it is "breathing" in the jar. That means that sometimes (when you leave to lid closed for several days) a sulfur smell builds up in the jar and is released when you open it. Easy test to know if it is still good to eat? Leave the jar open for 30 seconds. Still smells strongly like rotten? Toss it.
WHAT IF I CAN'T EAT ALL THE CALIFORNIA SPIRULINA BEFORE THE BEST-BY-DATE?
You can freeze fresh California Spirulina at home to extend the shelf life. Frozen Spirulina stays good for about 7 months.
HOW MUCH SHOULD I EAT?
We recommend two or three table spoons a day of fresh California Spirulina, but there is no harm in eating more.
